DEMO SITE: STACK OF EYES

by Macks Cook

The cranes have opened the building up to find it has sixteen eyes in the shape of mouths that vomit endless tears of wet dirt. These sixteen eyes don’t stare, not like the two eyes painted at the top of the building, on the door to the roof, that have watched me watching from my apartment window. These sixteen eyes are too busy explaining their suffering in the language of collapse. The machines busy themselves at all hours muffling the building. Somehow, the door to the roof has swung open, red as a tongue // a peeled back eyelid // a mistimed magic trick

Focussed on creating a contemporary  intersectionality between medicine and Fine Art, Acromiion finds ways to inform the viewer of the intricacies of anatomy, medicine and disease through installation art. Often creating tangible semi-abstract, yet still anatomically accurate, sculpture, they specialise exploring the boundaries of steel and material manipulation. No medium is out of bounds, with recent installations including; bioplastics, ceramic, wood, glass and wax.

Based in Glasgow, Selkie is a Scottish musician and producer creating voice-led soft electronic and ambient pop through electric guitar and atmospheric vocal-based sound design. Spacious and unhurried, the music combines poetic songwriting with cosmic textures and flickers of trip-hop-inspired beats.

The project grew from a return to music during a period when speaking and breathing felt fragile, with songwriting becoming a way of reconnecting with voice, body and the surrounding world.

Songs are shaped through loops, altered harmonies, field recordings and treated guitar, following their own emotional movement rather than conventional structures.
